Well December started off with our exciting new visitor. Elf came to visit on December 1st and we named him "elf" (we are very creative around here). Every day he watched our goings ons and each night he flew back to Santa to report on us. Each morning when the kids woke up they promptly ran to see where elf had landed for the day. We are excited for him to return next Christmas season!
Marcus and I also got to go on a date night. Getting to dress up and go out doesn't happen a lot around here, so we take the opportunities when they come.
This picture obviously has nothing to with Christmas or Christmas traditions but it has everything to do with my darling daughter. Sunglasses for breakfast? Why not?!
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is visiting Santa's Workshop at Bass Pro Shop (sorry, these are all camera phone pics). We love it so much we decided to visit twice! The carousel and all the games are free and the kids have so much fun. Plus the first time we went the line for santa was crazy so of course we had to go back.

On December 9th we flew out to meet my parents and Kelli & Jeff in Arizona. The next morning at breakfast we all surprised my brother for his 30th birthday and we had a fantastic weekend. We stayed at the Phoenician, ate our way through the weekend, and shopped and shopped and shopped. We had a wonderful weekend...so wonderful that we ended up without pictures. Oops.
Next we returned home to our little cuties and an early visit from Santa Claus. See, the weekend before Christmas Santa called me to see if he could come and take Abby's pacifiers and in exchange he would leave Abby and Marc "big kid" presents. He needed her pacis to deliver to all the babies on Christmas morning. So the Sunday before Christmas we got a box and Abby emptied in the pacifiers. We wrapped it up and set it under the tree. And the next morning she got a purse and Marc got a book about trucks. And ever since we have been "paci-free"!
And that ends our month before Christmas. Of course we spent lots of time doing other things...white elephant parties with friends and work (Marcus), making lots of Christmas goodies, spreading Christmas cheer, shopping, shopping, and more shopping, sending and recieving Christmas cards, and spending time with friends and family.

What a great trick to get rid of the binkies! I'm going to have to remember that. It looks like you guys had a wonderful Christmas. Your kids are darling. :)
