pink piggies and more...

Today was Abby's first-ever toenail painting. She's been obsessively checking out her toenails all day and telling me that they're pink...

Last weekend we had a fantastic 3-day weekend! I love the 4th of July.

We started out Saturday at a pancake breakfast at our church. Then we joined some friends on the lake. It was Abby's first time on a boat and we even talked her into tubing (at about 1 mph). We had so much fun. Here's Marcus wakeboarding (carefully, since his leg still isn't 100%)...

The next day we went to a BBQ at a friend's house. We also went swimming but there will be no pictures of me in a bathing suit on our blog...

After a few hours of swimming the kiddos seemed pretty exhausted so we went home to get dressed in our 4th of July outfits and recoup before heading back out to the fireworks...

Our neighborhood puts on a fireworks display every year and it's a lot of fun. We've missed the fireworks the past few years because of kids' bed times so it was really fun to be able to go this year. We met up with some friends, ate some treats and waited for the sun to go down. Marc slipped in the "mud" (read: no idea what it was but it didn't smell like mud) and he got to watch fireworks in a diaper and a sweatshirt.

We had a great time. The kids LOVED the fireworks and have been asking for a fireworks show all week.

Im going to have to grab a few pictures from you...what is easiest - if I come over with a flash drive or if you just pick out a picture perfect one of each of us?

Looks like fun, fun, fun! I didn't take one single picture in the last two weeks.

Love the pink piggies. Addie loves hers too. Glad your 4th was fun!
